Born to a pair of actor/comedians, Toronto-born and based singer-songwriter Daisy Progosh comes by her passion and dramatic flair honestly. From the tender age of four years old, Daisy could be found singing and performing alongside her twin sister at local competitions, cafes, and community events. At eight years old, she picked up her mother's guitar, wrote her first song, and never looked back.
Daisy has long believed that music is our greatest gift, emotional tool, and teacher in our quest for understanding. That belief is reflected in a catalog of songs that question and explore the spectrum of human emotions and experiences, with a unique perspective and a clarity that will pierce the heart.
After ten-plus years working as a supporting vocalist in the local music scene (Jackson Steinwall, Dilettante, Augusta, Emily Steinwall, Claire Hunter, Ten Minute Detour), Daisy's ability to enchant her audience is delightfully unsurprising.
Combining her background in theatre and social work with her love of badass, confessional songstresses such as Sheryl Crow and Alanis Morisette, Daisy's commentary on love, loss, and life will have you captivated. Incorporating elements of folk, grunge, pop, and beyond, she wears her heart on her sleeve and implores her audience to do the same.
Currently, Daisy is working on her first studio album. She remains active in the local scene as a frontwoman and supporting vocalist.
